Gaza – Ma’an – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) announced that the Israeli occupation forces displaced more than 75,000 people from southern Gaza in the past few days.
“The mass displacement of the Palestinian people continues without end,” Lazzarini explained in a post on the X platform.
“In the past few days alone, more than 75,000 people have been displaced in southwest Gaza, and last night the Israeli authorities issued additional orders to force more people to flee again,” he added.
The UNRWA Commissioner said that some of the displaced ‘are only able to carry their children with them, and some carry their entire lives in one small bag.’
He said the newly displaced “are going to shelters crowded with families, without specifying a specific location, and that they have lost everything and need everything.”
The Israeli army demanded that the residents of the Al-Jalaa neighborhood in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, evacuate it “immediately”
in preparation for a military operation in the area.
He added, “All residents and displaced persons who are still in the Jalaa neighborhood, we inform you that the Israeli army will operate forcefully there.”
