WHM Mulls $1.8 Billion Investment in Egypt’s Healthcare Sector


Cairo: Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El Khateeb, met with a delegation from WHM Company to discuss investment opportunities in Egypt’s healthcare sector, the Egyptian Cabinet reported.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting, held on the sidelines of El Khateeb’s current visit to Spain, focused on the potential for advanced medical technologies, including the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare.



The discussions also covered the possibility of establishing a Data Centre in Egypt, serving as a hub for the Arab region. WHM proposed the creation of the centre through a consortium of investors, with an estimated investment of $1.8 billion, in coordination with Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.



The project aims to position Egypt as a leading destination for AI-based medical services. WHM has been invited to visit Egypt to explore available investment opportunities in the country.
