WFP reviews NAF’s social protection services

The World Food Programme (WFP) Advisory Committee’s delegation on Wednesday reviewed the National Aid Fund (NAF)’s key programs provided in the social protection field.

During a visit to the NAF’s headquarters, its Director General, Khitam Shneikat, highlighted the WFP’s action paths provided to the fund, primarily in economic empowerment and its role in developing and designing an analysis of beneficiaries’ skills.

Shneikat also referred to the WFP’s assistance in developing the NAF’s economic empowerment strategy, establishing the monitoring and assessment units and geographic information systems, as well as building its worker capacities.

Shneikat stressed the WFP’s role in establishing and supporting the operations of multiple communication channels, which are accessible to beneficiaries under the NAF’s complaints mechanism and call center.

In this regard, she referred to the WFP’s role in automating digital payments and conducting beneficiary-oriented awareness sessions, pointing to the programme’s r
ole in improving and integrating data systems within home visits.

Concluding the visit, an introductory session was held to review the NAF’s geographic information system and check on support and assistance provided by the communication and public service unit.
