RAMALLAH: Weather today in Palestine, the first day of the New Year, is expected to be partly cloudy to clear and relatively cold in the mountainous areas, warm in other areas, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department.

Winds are northeasterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, and low sea waves.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 16°C and a low of 10°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 15°C and a low of 9°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 25°C and a low of 14°C, and a high of 20°C and a low of 15°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A slight drop in temperature is expected tomorrow, Tuesday, and a chance of light scattered rain in some areas.

No change in temperature or weather conditions is expected on Wednesday, but a slight rise in temperature is expected on Thursday with a chance of rain remaining in some areas, said the PMD.

The governorate’s civil defense and police dispatched specialist teams as soon as possible to the scene of the accident, the spokesperson continued, and they worked to extract him from the bottom of the valley using machinery designed specifically for situations like this. After receiving care, he was sent to the hospital to continue receiving it.
