Safadi pointed out that there are always those who try to distort the Jordanian position, and we do not need to defend it, our actions say what Jordan is, from the first moment the aggression began, His Majesty the King was and still leading movements that have not stopped in order to stop the aggression and to expose the Israeli narrative and to mobilize an effective international position to stop the Israeli aggression, as well as to deliver aid to Gaza and to protect the Palestinian people in the West Bank and deliver aid there, and this whole effort has not stopped, and we in Jordan have a clear history in what we do towards our brothers in Palestine and support them, as for those trying to distort this position I believe that the facts clearly confront them and reveal the absurdity of what they are doing, and our people are well-informed, and with regard to Palestine, we are aware of the Jordanian historical position towards Palestine which is our first cause, and there is no difference between the offic
ial and public positions, we all support Palestine, we all support the Palestinian right to freedom and independence, and we all support the Palestinians’ steadfastness on their homeland and on their soil, which was watered with the blood of Jordanian martyrs over decades and decades.
“We are a country that has entered our bicentennial, and over the decades we have faced many challenges, and with the cohesion of our people, the wisdom of our leadership, and the strength of our institutions, we have overcome them clearly and firmly, and we are able to overcome any new challenges, and any statements by Ben-Ghafir and Smotrich do not affect us, as such irrational statements have been dealt with in the past. As I said, in our history there are enough answers to whoever is worried about Jordan and we reassure them that we are able to protect ourselves, as for those who speak negatively about Jordan, Jordan has repelled many haters and covetous people in the past, and we are able to do so as well,” Safadi said.
