Executive director of the Women Development Organization (WDO) in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Afnan al Shuaiby thanked President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for his constant support to the WDO.
This came during Shuaiby’s first visit to the National Council for Women (NCW) after assuming her new post where she was received by head of NCW Maya Morsi.
Shuaiby thanked Morsi for her support to the WDO activities and boosting its role in upgrading the file of women empowerment in the OIC member states.
Meanwhile, Morsi said that women were affected by the repercussions of the global economic crisis especially in the Islamic countries.
Morsi asserted that the necessity to support women in face of the current difficult economic crisis.
The meeting tackled the work plan during the coming stage, asserting the importance of boosting cooperation between the member states in the WDO and garnering efforts to improve the women file in these states.
