Rescue teams today recovered a large number of bodies from under the rubble of homes destroyed by Israeli airstrikes in the besieged Gaza Strip, said sources.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that ambulance crews managed to dig out 15 bodies, most of whom were women and children, from under the rubble of a house, which was bombed by Israeli warplanes without prior warning.
The occupation warplanes also bombed the Imam Ali Mosque on Al-Ajarma Street in Jabalia Camp.
Meanwhile, a number of bodies and survivors were recovered from under the rubble of two houses in Jabalia and Deir Al-Balah, which were bombed by Israeli aircrafts.
Rescue teams also pulled out two bodies from under the rubble of a house that was bombarded by Israeli missiles targeting a house in al-Zaytoon neighborhood.
A number of people were injured as a result of the intensive airstrikes that targeted al-Karama area, northwest of Gaza city.
The renewed shelling of al-Karama towers to the west resulted in dozens of injuries, said sources.
