Two Palestinians, including a teenager, were shot and injured this evening by Israeli forces ‘live fire during conformations that broke out in the village of Umm Safa, north of Ramallah, said the Ministry of Health. Confrontations broke out following an Israeli military incursion into the said village with, during which forces attacked residents with live ammunition, tear gas canisters, and stun grenades, shooting and seriously injuring two people. The ministry said two that two people were brought to the hospital with critical gunshot wounds to the head and abdomen. One of the injured succumbed to his critical head wounds shortly after reaching the hospital. He was identified as 17-year-old Mohammed Fo’ad Atta al-Bayyed from the al-Jalazoun refugee camp, north of Ramallah. Dozens of others suffocated due to tear gas inhalation. For the past few weeks, the village has been witnessing escalated Israeli forces and settlers’ attacks against it, including the burning of homes and vehicles and the usage of live fire against residents and their homes.
