UPDATE: Over a dozen of civilians, including two journalists, killed in series of Israeli airstrikes on Gaza’s Khan Yunis

GAZA: At least 14 civilians, including two journalists, were killed and others were wounded today in Israeli airstrikes on the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Yunis.

Medical sources reported that the bodies of 14 people were brought to the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis, after Israeli bombings of various parts of the city.

Five civilians, including a Palestine TV journalist who was identified as Tamim Mu’amar, were killed and others were injured in the Israeli shelling of the home of al-Mo’amar family in central Khan Yunis.

Five civilians, including children, were killed and others were wounded in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis.

Two civilians were killed and others were injured in the occupation’s bombardment of al-Amour neighborhood in al-Fukhari town, east of Khan Yunis.

A citizen was also killed by Israeli sniper fire near a school in the town of al-Qarara east of Khan Yunis.

Local sources said journalist Abdallah al-Susi was also killed in an Israeli air rai
d that targeted his home in Khan Yunis.

Several civilians were injured in an Israeli shelling that targeted a house in the ‘Abasan al-Jadida, east of Khan Yunis.

The ongoing relentless Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, by land, air and sea, since October 7, 2023, has so far resulted in the killing of 39,699 civilians, mostly children and women, and the injury of 91,722 others.

Thousands of victims remain missing; either buried under the rubble or scattered on the roads, as rescue teams face tremendous difficulties in reaching them due to the continued Israeli attacks and the massive amount of debris.
