UNICEF: IT IS NOT NORMAL FOR THE CHILDREN OF GAZA TO LIVE IN CONSTANT TERROR

United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) spokesman James Elder said on Saturday that it is not normal for children in the Gaza Strip to live in “continuous terror due to Israeli bombing.”

Elder added to Anadolu Agency, “The situation in Gaza is getting worse for children day after day, amid intensifying heat and families crowded into tents on top of the sand.”

Regarding the repercussions of forced displacement in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, Elder said, ‘There are 3,000 children to whom we were providing emergency food aid, and now we do not know their whereabouts,’ explaining that, ‘with the continued restrictions on the entry of aid, after more than 250 days of war in Gaza, the people of Gaza face extreme difficulties in obtaining food for their children.’
