President of the United Nations General Assembly, Dennis Francis, said on Monday that he had decided to resume the tenth emergency special session of the United Nations General Assembly on Palestine. Francis said that he will hold the 39th plenary session of the tenth emergency special session of the General Assembly at ten o’clock on Thursday, in the General Assembly Hall at the United Nations headquarters in New York. Jordan, in its capacity as Chairman of the Arab Group, and Mauritania, in its capacity as Chairman of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, requested the President of the United Nations General Assembly to resume the session. In a letter, a copy of which was received by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Francis said that he received, in addition to two letters from Jordan and Mauritania, letters from the Russian Federation, Nicaragua, Syria, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao, Malaysia, Maldives, East Timor, Vietnam, and Brunei for the same reason.
