Uganda’s First Deputy Prime Minister Rebecca Kadaga has praised Egypt’s great efforts on achieving development and carrying out major projects in the African country over the past months.
The deputy prime minister made her remarks when she received Egypt’s Ambassador to Uganda Ashraf Sweilam, according to a statement by the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday.
The meeting touched on means to strengthen bilateral ties in different domains, it said.
Kadaga lauded Egypt’s contributions to efforts aimed at fulfilling the goals of sustainable development in Uganda, highlighting the strong bilateral ties.
Kadaga voiced hope that both countries would cement future cooperation in different fields to serve their mutual interests.
For his part, the diplomat praised the growing relationship between the two African countries, shedding light on several major projects recently carried out by Egypt in Uganda.
