UAE’s Salem Malhouf earns 3 golds in 3 years at global endurance competitions


SARDINIA: Emirati rider Salem Hamad Malhouf achieved a significant victory in endurance racing by securing the gold medal in the 120km team event at the FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Horses (aged 8), held at the Arborea fields on the Italian island of Sardinia.

The gold medal is Malhouf’s third in global endurance competitions within three years. Earlier this year, he was awarded the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award in the UAE Athlete category. His latest victory adds to his gold in the 2021-2022 FEI Endurance World Championship and the silver he won at the 2022 edition, held in Boudheeb, Abu Dhabi, in 2023.

Salem Hamad Saeed Malhouf competed as part of the UAE team at the World Championship, alongside riders Rashid Saeed Malhouf Al Kitbi, Saeed Ahmed Al Shamsi, Saeed Salem Al Muhairi, and Saif Juma Biljafla.
