UAE President discusses bilateral relations and climate challenges with delegation heads at COP28


President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met today with various heads of delegations participating in the UN Climate Change Conference (COP28) at Expo City Dubai.

His Highness met individually today with Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic; Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Trkiye; Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India; and Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia.

During the meetings, His Highness and Their Excellencies discussed bilateral relations between the UAE and their respective countries, including in the field of sustainable development, along with a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The meetings also discussed COP28 and the importance of cooperation between participating nations to deliver tangible results aimed at ensuring a more sustainable future for all.

The delegation heads commended the announcement by His Highness the President to establish a US$30 billion fund for global climate so
lutions, emphasising the importance of the initiative in enhancing climate action for the benefit of humanity.
