DUBAI: The UAE Media Council and the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (ETCC) have launched the ‘Media Apprenticeship’ programme.
The programme aims to build a new generation of qualified Emirati media experts capable of keeping pace with the dynamic global media industry and contributing to the UAE’s vision of building a diversified and sustainable media economy.
Targeting Emirati media graduates, final-year media students, and current media professionals seeking to enhance their skills, the programme will begin accepting applications in the coming weeks.
Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office (NMO) and Chairman of the UAE Media Council, emphasised that the programme aligns with the wise leadership’s vision to empower Emirati youth.
He underscored the ‘Media Apprenticeship’ programme’s role in equipping young people with the skills needed to drive media sector development, thus acting as a catalyst for economic growth.
He stated, “Through this programme, we aim
to develop a new cadre of media leaders capable of producing meaningful and impactful media content that embodies the values and culture of Emirati society, fulfilling the audience’s aspirations.”
