DUBAI: The UAE-Kazakhstan Business Council will hold its first meeting on 28th February, 2024, at the Kazakhstan Pavilion at Expo City Dubai. The meeting will be attended by the Kazakh Minister of Trade and over 200 private companies and institutions representing various trade and investment sectors from both countries.
In a statement, the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) said that it discussed the agenda of the upcoming meeting with the Kazakh side during a meeting between Humaid Mohamed Ben Salem, Secretary-General of the FCCI, and Madiyar Menilbekov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the UAE.
The meeting also discussed the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the establishment of the UAE-Kazakhstan Business Council between the FCCI and the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan.
Ben Salem stressed the FCCI’s continuous efforts to promote trade and investment in the UAE, as well as to highlight the fruitful investment opportunities in Kazakhstan. He emphasised
that holding regular meetings between businesspersons will help create new partnerships that serve the interests of both sides.
For his part, the Kazakh Ambassador expressed the keenness of the Kazakh business sector to intensify joint work with the FCCI to promote the activities and events of the UAE-Kazakhstan Business Council.
