DUBAI: The UAE Health Council, comprising health authorities and representatives from the private health sector, has discussed pivotal health initiatives and projects aimed at bolstering healthcare services across the country.
During a meeting chaired by Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), the council discussed the latest developments related to the establishment of a unified platform for health professionals’ registration and licencing services and reviewed the project aimed at setting up a national center for epidemic prevention.
The meeting also explored the potential creation of the ‘Emirates Council for Healthcare Facility Accreditation” and engaged in discussions regarding the Public Health Law and the Control of Communicable Diseases. It touched on the Scholarship Platform project, which seeks to facilitate international study opportunities in the field of health sciences. Additionally, the meeting touched upon the Health Cloud project.

by Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), and Awad Saghir Al Ketbi, Director-General of Dubai Health Authority (DHA), as well as representatives of public and private health entities, the gathering aimed not only to bolster integration and coordination in the implementation of healthcare initiatives and projects but also promote collective work towards achieving the nation’s healthcare objectives while also laying the foundation for a future healthcare roadmap in the UAE.
The assembly outlined the UAE’s notable achievements in the healthcare sector and reviewed its progress in global competitiveness indicators, driven by the wise leadership’s support and directives to promote community health standards and quality of life.
Also addressed was the UAE’s forward-looking approach aimed at developing an advanced healthcare system that incorporates innovative methods for healthcare service delivery in line with the country’s overarching vision ‘Projects of the 50’.
