ABU DHABI: The UAE has expressed its sincere condolences and solidarity with the Republic of the Philippines over victims of the landslide that took place in the south of the country, in the Province of Davao de Oro, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries, as well as numerous missing people, and causing severe damage.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) expressed its sincere condolences to the government and people of the Philippines, and to the families of the victims, as well as its wishes for a speedy recovery for all the injured.

BRUSSELS: Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, has called not to go ahead with a seemingly imminent military offensive in the densely populated city of Rafah in southern Gaza.

“The EU asks Israel not to take military action in Rafah that would worsen an already catastrophic humanitarian situation,” said Borrel in a tweet on X. “All civilians must be protected in line with international humanitarian law.”
