Two Palestinians injured in Israeli raid into Askar refugee camp


A Palestinian teenager and a young man were injured by Israeli gunfire last night during an Israeli military incursion into Askar refugee camp in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to medical sources.

Ahmed Jibril, a spokesman for the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Nablus, reported that a teenager sustained gunshot wounds, while a 24-year-old young man was injured by shrapnel from Israeli gunfire in the thigh during the Israeli incursion into Askar refugee camp.

WAFA correspondent reported Israeli occupation forces stormed the refugee camp, firing live ammunition, provoking confrontations with local residents. At least one Palestinian was reported arrested from his home in the camp by the Israeli occupation forces during the raid.

Meantime, a Palestinian youth was injured by Israeli gunfire during an Israeli army incursion into the town of Asira Al-Shamaliya, north of Nablus.

anisters, sparking confrontations with local residents.

Jibril confirmed that a 21-year-old young man was shot in the leg by the Israeli forces during the raid into Asira Al-Shamaliya.
