Tunisian President Kais Saied on Saturday 27/08/2022 received Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, who arrived in Tunis Friday evening to lead Egypt’s delegation to the Eighth Tokyo International Conference on Development in Africa (TICAD8) on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Upon his arrival at the Tunisian Airport, the premier was received by Tunisian Minister of National Defense Imad Mameesh and Egyptian Ambassador in Tunis Ihab Fahmi.

Madbouli also stressed the importance of the TICAD conference as an international platform, in partnership with Japan, that deals with development issues in the African continent.

The premier is due to deliver a speech in the summit’s first general session on economic issues.

Madbouli is also slated to hold a number of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit.

Tunisia hosts TICAD8, which is held on August 27-28 and attended by a host of African heads of state and government.
