TRENDS, Council of Retired Diplomats sign MoU on training, scientific research

TRENDS Research and Advisory, together with the Council of Retired Diplomats, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration and support cooperation between both parties in the fields of training, research, and studies.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, and Dr. Saeed Mohammed Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Council of Retired Diplomats, in the presence of several Council members, including Dr. Tariq Ahmed Al Haidan, Dr. Mohammed Omar Bilfaqih, and Jumaa Mubarak Al Junaibi, as well as several officials and researchers from TRENDS. The agreement stipulates the exchange of expertise, particularly in training related to diplomacy and international relations, following TRENDS’ recent launch of the International Training Institute in partnership with the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations. Additionally, the accord includes organising joint scientific and research events, as well as exchanging scientific and knowledge publ
ications.

Dr. Al-Ali expressed appreciation for this collaboration and gratitude for the efforts of the Council of Retired Diplomats. He emphasised TRENDS’ commitment to working with the Council in various areas, including the exchange of expertise and knowledge in diplomacy and international relations, partnerships in training, utilising the Council members’ capabilities, and preparing studies and research on regional and international issues.

For his part, Dr. Al Shamsi welcomed the Council of Retired Diplomats’ cooperation with TRENDS, congratulated the centre on launching the TRENDS International Training Institute, and commended its association with the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations. He also expressed appreciation for TRENDS’ global activities, particularly in youth empowerment, as well as its research publications and scientific endeavours. Dr. Al Shamsi commended the diversity and quality of publications and highlighted TRENDS’ commitment to empowering youth and developing th
eir skills, enabling them to innovate and contribute effectively to shaping the future.

Dr. Al Shamsi affirmed the Council’s ongoing efforts to establish exceptional partnerships that aim to support and empower youth, providing new opportunities to develop their knowledge and expertise.
