Transport Minister Witnesses Inking of MoU on Establishing Logistics Zone in Damietta Port


Damietta: Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development Minister of Transport and Industry Kamel el Wazir witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish, run and develop an integrated logistics industrial zone in Damietta Port.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the MoU was inked between the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport and Elsewedy Electric Company on Saturday 8/3/2025. The agreement aims to enhance investment and trade ties by operating and upgrading the logistics zone, which will cover an area of 6 million square meters.



The Transport Ministry stated that this step aligns with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to develop the industrial sector. It also aims to maximize cooperation and partnership with the private sector, contributing to the localization of vital industries.
