Minister of Agriculture, Khaled Hneifat, inaugurated a training course on palm and date production techniques on Sunday.
The course, organized by the International Date Council (IDC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, aims to advance the dates sector in Jordan.
In his opening remarks, Hneifat emphasized the ministry’s commitment to modernizing Jordan’s various agricultural sectors, with a particular focus on dates.

Hneifat noted that development of the dates sector is “vital” for increasing income and farmers’ living standards, enhancing sustainable agricultural practices, improving food security, and promoting environmental balance by “efficiently” using natural resources, especially water.
