Tourism revenue in Jordan declines

Jordan’s tourism revenue by the end of the third quarter of 2024 stood at $5.571 billion, 4.3 per cent down from last year’s due to a 7 per cent decline in tourists.

Data from the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) showed an increase in tourism revenue from Jordanian expatriates by 4.9 per cent and Arabs by 10.9 per cent. Tourism revenue from Europe, America and other countries decreased by 54.3 per cent, 38.6 per cent and 20.4 per cent respectively.
