The Tourism and Antiquities Ministry on Thursday launched a campaign on social network websites, under the title “100 years of Tutankhamun: magnificent monuments” to mark the 100th anniversary on the discovery of one of the most important and wonderful archaeological discoveries in the world.
The campaign’s aim is to highlight some of the unique archaeological artifacts, excavated from the tomb of the golden king, in addition to raise awareness among people on the importance of such great archaeological exploration, occurred on November 4, 1922, by the British archaeologist Howard Carter.
The campaign is planned to be concluded by a conference, to be organized in Luxor by American Research Center in Egypt in cooperation with Tourism and Antiquities Ministry.
