Tourism minister inspects workflow at GEM

Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled El Anani on Monday held two meetings to follow up on the latest developments in the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in preparation for its inauguration.

During the meetings, the minister reviewed the display techniques at the museum’s various halls especially the graphics and multimedia as well as the plan to show the various artifacts at the main halls.

He also checked the implementation progress of the service area of visitors as well as the GEM’s commercial zone.

The meetings also discussed means on benefiting from experts of the tourism sector.

Anani pressed the necessity of abiding by schedule to end all works at the GEM, calling for exerting more efforts to achieve the aspired for outcome and end the final preparations at the museum in the best shape.

The meetings were attended by Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Mostafa Waziri, Supervisor of GEM Project General Atef Moftah, Anani’s assistants as well as a number of the ministry’s top officials.
