Tourism and Antiquities Minister Khaled el Anani gave on Friday 08/10/2021 a lecture at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris about Egypt’s cooperation with UNESCO and its efforts to preserve its heritage.

About 100 archaeologists and a number of diplomats attended the lecture as well as UNESCO officials.

Anani spoke about the close relationship between Egypt and the UNESCO, which dated back to the 19th century, which witnessed its most important stages in the Nubia campaign to save the 3,000-year-old monuments and temples of ancient Nubia.

Anani briefed the attendees on the latest archaeological discoveries and Egypt’s genuine efforts to restored stolen artifacts that were smuggled abroad.

The Minister also talked about the Tourism and Antiquities Ministry’s efforts to offer better services at the museums and archaeological sites.
