Berlin: Sherif Fathy, the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, conducted a series of strategic meetings with top executives from major tour operators, travel agencies, and airlines, including the global TUI Group and DER Touristik Deutschland GmbH, during the Berlin Tourism Fair (ITB 2025).

According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussions centered on enhancing cooperative strategies to attract more tourists to Egypt, with a focus on promoting its unique tourism offerings. The meetings also explored the development of Egypt’s tourism infrastructure, such as airports and transportation networks, and the Ras Hekma project, aimed at drawing high-spending tourists to the North Coast.

The minister and tour operators agreed to organize familiarisation trips and joint promotional campaigns to highlight Egypt’s touristic and investment prospects. Additionally, the talks covered aviation incentives and the anticipated opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is expected to significantly boost the tourism sector.
