Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Eissa has stressed the ministry’s role in stimulating, overseeing and organizing the tourism industry.
During a meeting with members of the coordination committee meant to follow up on the tourism sector’s preparations for Egypt’s hosting of COP27 conference, the minister stressed that all hotels and tourism establishments should comply with operation controls and quality services provided for tourists.
The meeting reviewed efforts exerted by the permanent committee in Sharm El Sheikh, which is responsible for following up on preparations of hotel and tourist establishments for hosting guests of the global climate conference.
The committee members examined 74 hotels, which are equivalent to about 50 percent of the tourism establishments in the city, to review their compliance with the health and and tourism standards.
