8:00 am Disaster and crisis management drill organized by the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations at Université La Sagesse in collaboration with the Lebanese Army (Airborne Regiment, Air Force, Military Police), Lebanese Red Cross, General Directorate of Civil Defense, Municipality of Jounieh, and the Union of Municipalities of Keserwan Al-Ftouh will take place at Jounieh Square, Keserwan.

9:30 am Launch ceremony for Lebanon’s National Mental Health Strategy (2024-2030) will be held at the École Supérieure des Affaires, Clemenceau Street, Beirut. The event is under the patronage and in the presence of Caretaker Minister of Public Health Dr. Firas Abiad and French Ambassador Hervé Magro. It is organized in collaboration with the French Development Agency (AFD) and the World Health Organization in Lebanon.

10:30 am Caretaker Minister of Industry George Boujikian will receive Italian Ambassador Fabrizio Marcelli at the Ministry of Industry in Badaro.

10:30 am The Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Parliamentary Committee, chaired by MP Fadi Alameh, will meet with French Ambassador Hervé Magro to discuss the latest developments in Lebanon’s presidential elections, the status of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 in light of ongoing Israeli attacks, and other topics.

10:30 am The Finance and Budget Parliamentary Committee, chaired by MP Ibrahim Kanaan, will convene to follow up on the implementation of the 2024 budget allocations for the Ministry of Public Health, particularly regarding medication and hospitalization.

10:30 am The Subcommittee stemming from the Joint Parliamentary Committees, chaired by MP Jihad Al-Samad, will meet with representatives from the Ministries of Interior and Finance to begin reviewing the provisions of the proposed municipal empowerment law.

11:00 am The National Education, Higher Education, and Culture Parliamentary Committee, chaired by MP Hassan Murad, will convene to discuss the proposed amendment to Law No. 5
15 dated June 6, 1996, which aims to regulate school budgets and establish procedures for determining tuition fees in private non-free schools. The proposal was submitted by MPs Halima Kaakour and Osama Saad.

12:00 pm An event honoring Samir Naimeh, organized by Economic, Social, and Environmental Council President Charles Arbid, will take place at the council’s headquarters. The event recognizes Naimeh’s work on the council and marks his retirement.

8:30 pm President of the Selerteum des Arts et des Sciences Association, Didi Hourani, in collaboration with the Municipality of Zouk Mikael, will present the Ensemble Musique del Tempo with soprano Nadine Nassar, mezzo-soprano Eliane Saade, and tenor Elia Francis, conducted by Michel El-Murr. The event will be held at the Roman Amphitheater in Zouk Mikael.
