Thousands of colonists storm Hebron’s Ibrahimi Mosque, perform provocative Talmudic rituals in it

HEBRON: Thousands of Israeli colonists, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, performed provocative Talmudic rituals last night in the Ibrahimi Mosque, after it was closed to citizens.

The director of the Ibrahimi Mosque, Moataz Abu Sneineh, told WAFA that thousands of colonists stormed the Ibrahimi Mosque and held a concert in its courtyards, under heavy protection by the occupation forces, which included Talmudic dances, while the soldiers imposed strict military measures around the mosque and the old city of the city to secure the colonial celebrations.

He pointed out that the colonists brought in musical instruments and loudspeakers, and organized a concert in a blatant violation of places of worship.

Abu Sneineh pointed out that these practices and violations fall within the framework of exchanging roles with the colonists, as the occupation forces allowed them to bring in musical instruments and loudspeakers as part of imposing complete control over the mosque and its surroundings, a
t a time when Palestinians are not allowed to bring in the necessary supplies for the mosque for maintenance and restoration.

He considered that what Israel is committing is a blatant violation of the places of worship and the privacy of Muslims, which must be curbed by flocking to the sanctuary, and informing ambassadors, consuls, and all human rights and humanitarian associations in the world of the violations and blatant attacks taking place inside and around it.

Abu Sneineh explained that what Israel wants through the ongoing Judaization operations, including broadcasting pictures of colonists dancing inside and outside it with all comfort and reassurance, is to reach the stage of displacing Palestinian citizens from the places it wants to control, especially in the old city of Hebron, according to a systematic plan implemented by the Israeli occupation government.

It is noteworthy that the Israeli occupation authorities reopened the Ibrahimi Mosque to citizens after closing it until the late hours of
last night.
