Third edition of Al Bader Festival commences on 12th September


FUJAIRAH: Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the Al Bader Festival will take place from 12th to 26th September.

The 2024 edition of the Festival, organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Fujairah, will be held at the Fujairah Creative Centre.

This year’s edition of the Festival coincides with the birth anniversary of the Prophet (Mawlid) and will present a diverse array of events that highlight key aspects from the distinguished biography of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), as well as Islamic values and teachings.

Additionally, the Festival will also showcase the multifaceted elements of Islamic arts through a series of workshops and art exhibitions.

The third edition of the Al Bader Festival will also feature bands specialised in religious chanting and the Prophet’s (PBUH) verses, representing several Arab and Islamic countries, along with Emirati Mawlid bands. They will showcase different ways in which Islamic communities across
the world celebrate their religious and cultural heritage on this significant occasion.

Several artists will also participate in the Festival and showcase their works related to the Prophet’s (PBUH) biography, while masters of Arabic calligraphy will conduct workshops. Additionally, there will be interactive platforms for public engagement.

The Al Bader Festival aims to convey the principles and values of the Prophet’s (PBUH) biography through various forms of art and literature, with the goal of embedding these values within the society. It aims to instill these values in the future generations.

The festival seeks to raise awareness about these values and demonstrate their manifestations in daily life, emphasising their influence on individual behaviour and ethics.
