Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed attends ECAE 2022 – 2023 cohort graduation


ABU DHABI: Under the motto “Transforming tomorrow together”, the Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE) organised a graduation ceremony, attended by H.H. Sheikh Theyab Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed, Chairman of the Office of Development and Martyrs Families Affairs at the Presidential Court, to celebrate the 2022-2023 cohort in addition to the 292 graduates of the past five years who completed the college’s programs, aimed at building the professional capabilities of educators and developing their skills to support the education sector in the UAE.

The graduation ceremony was attended by Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology, and Chair of the Board of Trustees at ECAE, and Dr. May Al Taee, Vice Chancellor of ECAE. The ceremony was held on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

Sarah Al Amiri stated: ‘We celebrate the graduation of a new cohort of students from the Emirates College for Advanced Education to join the constellat
ion of educators in our educational sector in the country, and to contribute to developing a leading educational model that competes with the best educational systems in the world, by applying what they have learned in the past years and what they have gained of extensive experience and skills to achieve our ambitious goals in a mechanism that is based on innovation and the latest technological developments in teaching and learning methods. I wish them all a life full of success, giving and progress.’

She stressed the college’s keenness to ensure that its strategies are in line with the UAE’s goals and the visions of the wise leadership in empowering educational talents with knowledge tools and future skills that qualify them to fulfill their noble mission of preparing Emirati generations that will continue working to consolidate the UAE’s position globally, and continue the path of leadership and prosperity in various fields. H.E. added that the college works to prepare its students in accordance with the l
atest international practices in a way that supports national priorities in advancing the education sector.

Al Amiri expressed her gratitude to ECAE’s management and staff, including members of its Board of Trustees, faculty and administration, who spared no effort in attaining ECAE’s objectives.

Meanwhile, Dr. May Al Taee asserted: “We are proud of all the educators who graduated from ECAE’ academic programs and majors across all segments. The ECAE has empowered educators and prepared them to lead the future of education in the UAE. We are confident that they will leave a lasting legacy in the education sector by embodying educational excellence according to the most advanced and developed educational best practices, which will be reflected in their future careers and the educational outcomes of future generations.”

Dr. May Al Taee reiterated that the ECAE continues to realize the UAE’s wise leadership aspirations in supporting educators’ growth and empowerment, which are essential elements for developing
educational methods and advancing their current reality through innovative academic programs that adopt continuous and sustainable lifelong learning. Dr. May Al Taee congratulated the graduates for reaching this major milestone in their journey of continuous development toward achieving our strategic priorities and objectives. She highlighted that the skills and values that educators acquired during these academic programs will play a key role in their careers and will augment their active and influential role in UAE society.

The ECAE 2022-2023 graduation ceremony was attended by Ghaya Al-Ahbabi, the youngest ambassador representing the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) at the COP28.

Within the five graduating cohorts, 78 educators received their degrees with honors after completing ECAE’s various programs. Moreover, 80 female alumni from all past cohorts now hold leadership and management positions across various schools in the UAE. Most of ECAE’s alumni work as educators and teachers, thereby suppor
ting the educational process across all schools in the UAE.
