Gaza – Ma’an – The Popular Committee in Al-Maghazi Camp, affiliated with the Department of Refugee Affairs, in cooperation with the Women’s Activity Center in the camp, organized a workshop to support women psychologically, as part of a series of activities aimed at providing support and assistance to refugees in the camp. A group of women of different ages participated in the workshop, as the activity sought to enhance psychological and social support for refugee women in the camp.

The workshop was supervised by Wassef Abu Mashayekh, head of the Popular Committee in Al-Maghazi Camp, and Shannaz Musleh, director of the Women’s Activity Center Association in the camp. In their speeches, they stressed the importance of providing psychological support to women, especially in light of the difficult challenges and harsh conditions that refugees in the camp are suffering from.

The workshop was presented by Maha Abu Sawawin, a representative of the Youth Department of the Popular Committee for Refugees in the camp
, and covered several vital topics related to psychological support, including how to deal with the psychological pressures that women face in their daily lives. The workshop also included open discussions and practical exercises aimed at enhancing the psychological resilience of the participants and providing the necessary tools to help them adapt to challenges.

This workshop comes within the framework of the ongoing efforts made by the Popular Committee in Al-Maghazi camp to improve the psychological and social status of refugee women, and provide them with the necessary support to face daily challenges. The committee affirms its commitment to organizing more similar events in the future, in response to the needs of the local community, especially women who suffer from difficult living conditions.
