The Israeli army begins advancing towards the Philadelphia axis

Tel Aviv – Together – The Israeli army began expanding its activities in Rafah, as Israeli soldiers advanced along the Philadelphia axis, south of the Gaza Strip.

According to the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, it is estimated that about one million Gazans have been evacuated from Rafah to date. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant informed US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on Monday that Israel intends to expand its ground offensive in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

On the other hand, an Egyptian source said on Tuesday that Egypt’s respect for its international obligations and treaties does not prevent it from using all available scenarios to preserve its national security and preserve the historical rights of the Palestinian people.

A high-ranking Egyptian source confirmed to Cairo News Channel that what is being circulated in the Israeli media regarding the existence of any kind of joint coordination with Israel regarding its military operation in the Palestinian Rafah is inc
orrect.

The Salah al-Din Axis, known as the ‘Philadelphia Axis,’ extends inside the Gaza Strip from the Mediterranean Sea in the north to the Kerem Shalom crossing in the south along the Egyptian border, which is about 14 kilometers.

Since May 6, the Israeli army has been launching a ground attack on Rafah. It caused the displacement of 810,000 Palestinians, according to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

Since last October 7, Israel has been waging a war on Gaza, leaving about 115,000 dead and wounded, most of them children and women.
