The Executive Director of the Women’s Development Organization joins the Secretary-General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy in the high-level conclusion of the organization’s webinar series

The Women’s Development Organization is holding the final episode of its series of online seminars on “Islam and Cultural Practices,” in a concluding session with a high-level presence in which the Secretary-General of the International Islamic Jurisprudence Academy, Dr. Qutb Mustafa Sano, and the Executive Director of the Women’s Development Organization, Dr. Afnan Al-Shuaibi, participate.

The final episode will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 15:00 Cairo time, and will address the topic “Financial Independence for Women” and will be available in English, Arabic, and French so that it is accessible to attendees from all member states of the Women’s Development Organization.

The final episode highlights the right to financial independence guaranteed to women by Islam, and discusses the societal ideas that contributed to the shift from simply knowing women’s financial rights to efforts to preserve those rights.

This series of seminars on “Islam and Cultural Practices” aims to introduce incorrect cultural practices that are mistakenly believed to be based on the principles of Islam. This high-level final episode of the webinar series comes as a culmination of the great success and exceptional response achieved and enjoyed by the first three episodes. The four seminar episodes are scheduled to be available online on the organization’s website and channel on the YouTube platform
