The Commander of the Customs Police Service discusses joint cooperation with the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy


Ramallah – Ma’an – The Commander of the Customs Police Service, Major General Iyad Barakat, within the framework of efforts to enhance cooperation and coordination with various government agencies, accompanied by a number of directors of central departments, held an important working meeting with the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Abdel Razzaq Natsheh; With the aim of discussing ways to enhance joint cooperation between the agency and the ministry, today, Wednesday, at the ministry’s headquarters.

During the meeting, views and experiences were exchanged in several fields, how to combat Israeli segments, protect national companies, and the digital economy. The importance of strengthening cooperation between the agency and the ministry was emphasized to achieve common goals in the field of facilitating customs procedures and developing communications and technology in Palestine.

Major General Barakat expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Minister Natsheh and his ministry in streng
thening the digital infrastructure, noting that joint cooperation will contribute to achieving economic development and enhancing the capabilities of the customs police apparatus in combating smuggling and protecting society.

For his part, Minister Natsheh praised the role of the Customs Police Agency in achieving food and economic security, expressing the Ministry’s readiness to provide the necessary support to the agency in achieving its goals and enhancing its technical and human capabilities.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to hold periodic meetings between the agency and the ministry to follow up on the progress of cooperation and implement joint plans, with the aim of achieving the desired results and enhancing economic stability.
