GAZA: The Palestinian Telecommunications Company (Paltel) announced today the gradual return of telecommunications services in the central and southern Gaza Strip after being interrupted yesterday for the seventh time since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7.
‘We would like to announce the gradual restoration of telecom services in the central and southern areas of Gaza Strip after a blackout caused by the ongoing aggression,’ said Paltel on X, formerly Twitter.
The Israeli occupation forces had bulldozed the generators feeding the main distributor in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, and the Israeli warplanes again bombed the main fiber line feeding the internet in the Gaza Strip, which caused a complete interruption of telecommunications and internet services, according to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
Technical crews of the telecommunications companies face great difficulties in repairing the damage to the network, given the extensive destruction left behind
by the Israeli aggression on the infrastructure.
The Israeli occupation authorities cut off the telecommunications and the Internet service from the Gaza Strip yesterday, the seventh time since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, by disconnecting the international lines.
