The Department of Statistics, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), convened a special meeting of the Technical Committee for the 2025 General Population and Housing Census. The meeting, held to finalize the census forms, gathered committee members to ensure their approval.

Director General of the Department of Statistics, Haider Fraihat, highlighted that the department is in the midst of substantial preparations for the 2025 Census. He noted that this national initiative represents the largest statistical survey undertaken by the Kingdom, involving all state institutions, civil society organizations, and the private sector.

In a press release issued on Thursday, Fraihat emphasized the significance of a collaborative approach to decision-making concerning the census. He stressed the value of leveraging the skills and experience of the department’s partners to finalize and approve the various census forms.

According to Fraihat, the meeting’s success will strengthen the executive
management’s ability to meet all requirements necessary for form approval.

The 2025 General Population and Housing Census, set to be one of the most comprehensive surveys in the Kingdom’s history, will rely on wide-ranging cooperation from all sectors to ensure its success.
