Sultan bin Ahmed attends SGMB-SBA-MK MoU signing


H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Media Council (SMC), witnessed the signing of memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) and Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA) along with organisations from the MK Media Group.

Tariq Saeed Allay, Director-General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, signed an MoU with Hyeondeok Son, CEO of Maeil Business Newspaper, a part of the MK Media Group. The agreement intends to improve collaboration in many media domains, such as news collection and coverage of common interests.

The collaboration also includes organising events, activities, and media-related projects, as well as using both sides’ experience in employee and journalist training and development.

Maeil Business Newspaper is a comprehensive journal that offers readers a wide range of news, including official and social news, with an emphasis on global and local economic news.

r of the Broadcasting Authority (SBA), also inked an agreement for radio and television broadcasting with Dong Won Lee, CEO of Maeil Broadcasting Network.

According to the agreement, the parties’ areas of collaboration will include media coverage and benefiting from joint knowledge in transportation, radio broadcasting, and television.

The collaboration will include the sharing of media programming in different cultural, artistic, sporting, and entertainment areas, as well as the assistance and training of both sides’ staff.

Maeil Broadcasting Network’s channels and radio stations provide a varied selection of programmes aimed at different demographics and age groups.

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council (SMC), toured the MK Media Group’s facilities during the signing ceremony, becoming acquainted with its prominent institutions, key areas of specialisation, and important facilities for producing media content.

He also learnt abou
t the work procedures at Maeil Business Newspaper’s printing press and the equipment used to produce newspapers using different materials devoted to printing and publishing.

He also visited Maeil Broadcasting Network’s newest studios, which are outfitted with cutting-edge facilities and technology that contribute to the delivery of unique media content.

MK Group, which started operations in 1966, is a multifaceted organisation that includes numerous news, radio, and television channels, as well as internet platforms.

The organisation undertakes a number of significant awards in the domains of business and youth, depending on the most recent technical advances and artificial intelligence, to present its creations in global newspapers, television channels, and on the internet.
