Director General of the Department of Statistics, Haidar Freihat, participated in the “Regional Forum for Data and Community Development,” organized by the UAE Department of Statistics and Community Development in collaboration with the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and the Statistical Center for the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
According to a press release issued by the department on Wednesday, the two-day forum, which gathers decision-makers from the public and private sectors, economic experts, the business community, and statistical data centers from across the globe, focuses on the use of data to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) for education and future data management. Participants explore how the wealth of information and accurate data analyses can reshape housing, work, transportation, trade, and other sectors.
The forum also highlights the critical roles of programmers and statistical institutions in addressing challenges faced by modern socie
ties across various sectors. Discussions will cover the advancements in data sciences and the tools they provide for research and analysis to bolster their contributions to development.
The event underscores the importance of active participation in discussions on data and community development, as well as national representation in the exchange of ideas. The forum also provides a valuable opportunity for networking with peers, experts, and scholars in the fields of data, information technology, and AI.
