Statement by Popular Front for Liberation of Palestine in mourning of Hezbollah Secretary-General

Statement issued by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine:

“On behalf of its Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General, Political Bureau, Central Committee, and all cadres and members in the homeland and the diaspora, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine mourns, to the masses of our people, the nation, the Axis of Resistance, and the liberation movement, the leader of the resistance, the master of martyrs, and the inspiration of an entire generation, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah “Abu Hadi,” Secretary-General of Hezbollah, along with a group of heroic resistance leaders who were martyred in a cowardly Zionist assassination in the southern suburb of Beirut, in coordination and planning with the criminal American enemy.

The Front expresses its deep solidarity with the brothers in Hezbollah-leadership, cadres, and fighters-the Lebanese brothers, and the Axis of Resistance in this great and immense loss, and sends them a clear message: “Your wound is our wound, and the blood of
your leaders is our blood. The martyrdom of the leader of the resistance, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, represents the beginning of a new phase of resistance, stronger and more determined to continue on the same path.”

Palestine, Lebanon, the entire nation, and indeed the entire global liberation movement, have lost an exceptional leader and a symbol of Arab and revolutionary resistance worldwide. The great martyr was an outstanding leader in every sense of the word, held a high position in the struggle against the occupation and the American enemy, and was steadfast in his positions supporting the rights of the Arab peoples, foremost among them the Palestinian cause. He was characterized by rare courage in the face of threats and possessed political acumen that enabled him to foresee regional and international developments, making him capable of dealing with the most complex challenges faced by the resistance, whether militarily or politically. He had a significant role in the victories achieved by
the resistance in Lebanon, notably the July victory and the expulsion of the Zionist occupation from southern Lebanon in 2000.

The great martyr dedicated his life to serving the cause of resistance, sacrificing dearly, including the loss of his eldest son, Hadi, who was martyred in a heroic battle against the occupation, setting an example of sacrifice and loyalty to the cause.

The influence of the martyr Nasrallah was not limited to the Lebanese arena; he transcended borders to become a symbol of resistance throughout the region and a central leader in supporting Palestinian resistance factions, providing them with all the necessary logistical support, military training, and weapons. His historic decision to support the resistance in Gaza during “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle significantly bolstered the capabilities of the Palestinian resistance. Since the party’s founding, the Palestinian cause has been a core part of its doctrine, and the martyr always affirmed that the liberation of Al-Quds is a moral and relig
ious duty. Through his role in developing the party’s arsenal of missiles and advanced weapons, he managed to create a balance of terror with the Zionist entity, contributing to protecting Lebanon from repeated attacks.

The master of resistance has departed to join his martyred comrades, never abandoning his position in the front lines, resisting until the very last moment. While we feel the bitterness of his loss today, we stand tall in confronting this enemy, which thought that targeting resistance leaders, especially the great martyr His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and his fellow leaders, would break the will of the resistance.

The martyrdom of the leader of the resistance is a grave loss, but it will not weaken the resistance; on the contrary, the ranks of the resistance in Lebanon and everywhere else will grow more determined to continue confronting this oppressive enemy that understands only the language of force.

The blood of these martyrs will serve as new fuel for the fire of resistance, whic
h will not be extinguished until Palestine and all occupied Arab lands are liberated.

We pledge to the martyred leader and all the free resistance fighters that the response to this Zionist crime will match the magnitude of the crime itself. The resistance will continue, stronger and united on all support fronts as one body, armed with the will of the people and their embrace of the legitimate choice of resistance in defense of our occupied lands and dignity until victory is achieved over this usurping Zionist entity and its allies in the region.

Glory and immortality to the spirit of the martyred leader and the martyred leaders, and indeed, we shall prevail.”
