The State is working on ensuring optimum utilization of its mineral wealth, through raw material’s extraction and production, affirmed Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli.
The State has a clear strategy as per directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to benefit from the available raw materials in Egypt, added Madbouli during a meeting held Thursday 24/2/2022 with Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tarek el-Molla.
It is necessary to have a detailed survey of the amount of high-quality phosphate and work to stop the export of crude phosphate, added Madbolui in the meeting held to follow up on the strategic plans to extract and supply high-quality phosphate ore.
“We have offers from a number of foreign investors in order to establish projects which attain added-value, so it is necessary to have the exact studies, numbers and statistics, in addition, it is crucial to prepare exploration plans for the high-quality raw material in Egypt,” said the premier.
A report tackling a map on the phosphate rock reserves was reviewed during the meeting, said Cabinet Spokesman Nader Saad.
The meeting also tackled the reserves and production rates of phosphate ore, added the spokesman.
