CAIRO: The State has emphasized the importance of fostering citizenship, equality, and non-discrimination among its citizens, as highlighted by the Cabinet Media Center. This initiative underscores the State’s commitment to creating an inclusive society where all individuals can freely practice their religion and exercise their rights.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Cabinet Media Center reported that the State has enacted several laws to support these goals, including those that ensure the freedom to practice religious rituals. These legislative efforts also include measures to legalize the status of churches, reflecting a broader intention to promote coexistence among different religious communities. The revival of the Holy Family path serves as a symbol of this coexistence and underscores Egypt’s role as a significant religious and tourist hub globally.
An infographic released by the Cabinet’s Media Center reveals that the main committee’s work on church legalization has led to the regularization of 3,453 churches and associated buildings. This development marks a significant step in the State’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the concept of citizenship and uphold the principles of equality and non-discrimination.
