Amman: Social Security Corporation (SSC) said a total of 16,000 voluntary subscribers are covered under its insurance umbrella during the first half of this year, bringing the number of active voluntary subscribers currently to about 98,000.
In a statement Wednesday, the corporation called on Jordanian citizens, who are still uncovered by the SSC’s mandatory umbrella and Jordanian expatriates abroad and housewives, to take the initiative to subscribe voluntarily.
The corporation added that the SSC’s voluntary subscription services are available on its website (www.ssc.gov.jo), or through its application on the smartphone: (Jordan Social Security Corporation), or through the government Sand application.
The SSC said the subscriber must has completed the age of 16 and has not exceeded 55 years old for females and 60 for men if they are subscribing to the SSC’s umbrella for the first time.
Voluntary subscription is also available to people, who have completed the age of 60 for males or 55 for females, or exc
eeded this age cap and paid previous subscriptions to the SSC and their insurance rights have not been settled yet.
The corporation renewed its call to all citizens, including voluntary subscribers, to contact it via its website or official email ([email protected]) for any inquiries.
Citizens can also call from within the Kingdom on the corporation’s unified call center (117117) or on the national call center number (0096265008080) from inside and outside the Kingdom, to learn about voluntary subscription’s conditions, rights, and benefits.
