SSC Refutes Claims of Financial Transfers via E-Wallets

The Social Security Corporation (SSC) has denied the recurring claims circulating on social media regarding the ability to receive financial amounts from the corporation through electronic wallets. This clarification aims to prevent any confusion, misinformation, or exploitation of its retirees and members.

In a statement on Sunday, the corporation emphasized that it does not process any benefits through electronic wallets. Instead, all transfers are made directly to the bank accounts of beneficiaries, including retirees and members, both within the kingdom and abroad.

The corporation urged citizens, as well as social security members and retirees, to obtain information only from its official communication channels. These include its website, www.ssc.gov.jo, its verified accounts on social media, and the unified contact center at (117117) or the National Contact Center at (065008080).

Additionally, the SSC noted that it actively works to shut down any fake accounts misrepresenting it on social media, in di
rect coordination with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship. It affirmed that it will pursue legal action against those responsible for these accounts and the associated rumors through the relevant official channels.

The corporation also warned the public against interacting with any suspicious links or communications that request personal information, such as national ID numbers or financial amounts for the purpose of updating electronic wallets or facilitating any financial transactions. This caution aligns with recent warnings issued by the Central Bank of Jordan regarding such fraudulent activities.
