Alexandria: The City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications (SRTA-City) has signed a cooperation protocol with Rubex International Company for Plastic and Acrylic Manufacturing. This move is part of a strategic effort to enhance collaboration between the academic and industrial sectors.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour highlighted the significance of the protocol, which aligns with the ministry’s vision to strengthen ties between research institutions and the industrial sector. He mentioned that the ministry aims to make notable advancements in applied scientific research through strategic alliances with the private sector, thereby contributing to the development of the Egyptian industry and enhancing its competitive edge.
SRTA-City Director Mona Mahmoud explained that the protocol encompasses cooperation in several domains, including alternative energy sources, materials science and engineering, and water treatment. She stressed the importance of aligning research outcomes with the needs of the Egyptian industry. Additionally, the protocol covers areas such as scientific training, academic cooperation, exchange of technical information and expertise, and the organization of conferences and workshops.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rubex International Company, Magdy Taher, stated that the cooperation protocol is designed to invigorate the Egyptian industry and encourage innovation and research.
