Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi praised Thursday the deep historic ties between Egypt and Libya, which is deemed Egypt’s western gate.
Sobhi’s remarks came during his Libyan counterpart Abdul Shafi Al-Juifi, where they discussed means of boosting cooperation in sports field.
Egypt is eager to foster its relations with Libya to amount to the distinguished political ties between the two countries, and make this cooperation tangible by signing a memorandum of understanding.
The meeting tackled how to make use of the Egyptian expertise in the field of sports management, a field which was lauded by international sports associations.
For his side, Al-Juifi hailed the role of Egypt in serving the Arab and African countries, and wished Tripoli and Cairo could have further cooperation in the coming period.
