Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi on Saturday congratulated the Egyptian Street Workout team on their historic achievement of winning gold and bronze medals in the world championships, currently being held in Latvia.

Mazen Ahmed snatched the gold medal in the freestyle category, while Abdul Rahman Mamdouh won the bronze in the middle weight.

Although Street Workout is a new sport in Egypt, the Egyptian players have made global achievements, the minister said.

This is the second world championship in which Egypt’s national team participates. The team participated in the 2021 world competitions in Russia.
