South Korean Ambassador to Jordan, Kim Pil-woo, accompanied by Kim So Young, Director of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Jordan, visited Irbid University College, part of Al-Balqa Applied University, on Sunday to review the progress of the “Technical Program Development Project” funded by KOICA.

During the visit, University President Dr. Ahmed Fakhry Al-Ajlouni provided an overview of the project’s implementation phases, highlighting the impact such initiatives have on bridging the gap between the outcomes of technical programs and the demands of the Jordanian job market.

Ajlouni reaffirmed the university’s commitment to leveraging all its resources to provide educational opportunities that meet the aspirations of its students.

He also emphasized that this achievement is a result of the close and ongoing cooperation between KOICA and Al-Balqa Applied University.

Ambassador Kim noted that the project is a major initiative aimed at enhancing technical education, which is expected to s
ignificantly improve the quality of graduates and the skills they acquire during their studies and in the job market.

He added that such projects help transfer South Korea’s renowned expertise in technical education to other countries, including Jordan.

The ambassador and his delegation toured the workshops, laboratories, and career development center established under the project, expressing their satisfaction with the progress made on the ground.
